Two tunes here which have meant a great deal to me over the years.
Firstly is Planxty Irwin, which I spent many a Wednesday night playing with my late Mum, Kathy, my lovely sister and a couple of dear family friends. I didn't have the best time with my mental health during my school years, and those evenings spent just playing tunes and disappearing into the harmonies were, in a curiously inverse way, some of the times my brain became the quietest. Since my Mum passed away in 2016, it's become one of the ways I can feel reconnected to her in a positive, gentle way - playing the tunes we used to love.
Secondly is the classic "Orange In Bloom", a tune I've fond memories of playing with the fine folk at the Shakespeare's session in Sheffield of a Tuesday. Huge love must go to that crowd; sessions can be mighty intimidating, but they did (and do) a grand job of making it a welcoming space.

Thanks for the beautiful music Karine and Dave. it's been a while since I've felt so emotional listening to a new album. Every lyric is so beautifully supported by the piano parts. Laura-Beth Salter

Three of the most talented folk/roots/acoustic artists currently at the very top of their game. Spoiler alert; is Spanish Lady actually about Catherine of Aragon or have I been reading too much Hilary Mantel? ***** bass_campdelta
